EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE: Vampires Everywhere! - "Cry Little Sister"

“Exclusive Premiere: The Long Awaited Cover Of

‘The Lost Boys’ Theme Song “Cry Little Sister”

By Vampires Everywhere!

Based out of Sin City, Vampires Everywhere! Have been a staple name in the goth and alternative scene since 2010 with the release of their debut album “Kiss The Sun Goodbye” which have dark metalcore classics like “Immortal Love”, “Undead Heart” and on the deluxe version of the album includes the cover of Katy Perry’s hit “Teenage Dream”. After breaking a five year hiatus in 2021 with the release of their EP “The Awakening” The band lead by vocalist Michael Vampire has hit the ground running like they have never left. For the last two years, VE has been back touring the states as well as traveling abroad to new places for the band like the UK and Japan.

“I am absolutely blown away by the massive response by our amazing fans! When I decided to resurrect Vampires Everywhere! I had no idea what the reaction would be! Would people actually care? VE is so close to my heart and I knew it was for a lot of people between 2010-2016! But nothing could have prepared me for the explosion of love I received when I brought the band back in 2021! Music goes in cycles and I feel the timing was perfect for the return of the band. The entire rock scene, as I know it, is on the rise and I'm beyond happy VE is part of that movement. I always felt VE was ahead of its time and we battled every step to achieve any notoriety. I promised myself after my near fatal car accident I wouldn't waste my life pretending to be someone I'm not. I can say this proudly ... I finally feel comfortable in my own skin”  -Michael Vampire

Vampires Everywhere! Are no strangers to covers with having one every album release, there has been one song that the band hasn’t covered that the fans have been wanting and everyone would have figured to be the obvious cover for the band to do. The name “Vampires Everywhere!” is a reference to the cult classic and in our opinion one of the best vampire movies of all time ‘The Lost Boys’. Vampires Everywhere! is the title of the first comic the Frog Brothers give Sam in the movie. Being directly influenced from the movie, fans have waited over a decade for the band to cover the coveted theme song “Cry Little Sister”, the time has finally come and the band did not hold back, instead they raised the bar and absolutely crushed this cover.

“I am positive that every show VE played from 2010-2023 a fan would come up and ask if we'd ever cover the theme song from the 1987 cult classic film "The Lost Boys" I would always say .. One day we will! That day is today! I always had the intention of covering the song; but I had my reservations! I wanted to do the song justice and not let my fans down. I was lucky enough to meet a producer in the UK Paul Bartolome who gave me that hope. We have a certain synergy when it comes to writing songs. So I knew it was time to tackle this very important piece of musical history. For those that don't know the name "Vampires Everywhere!" doesn't come from the Twilight Saga lol. It comes directly from "The Lost Boys" movie! It is the title of the comic book the Frog Brothers give Sam to help him protect himself from the undead in Santa Carla. The band had a lot of name calling in the beginning because people felt we were riding the so-called "Vampire Wave" of 2010! That couldn't be further from the truth! I was lucky enough to see "The Lost Boys" in the theaters growing up. The film became my life from that day on. Something about the movie resonated with me and when I had the opportunity to name my band after it .. I jumped on it! So releasing this song today is almost magical to me! It feels like a new beginning! I was 100% dead set on not making the music video a parody of the movie. So I wanted to have little nuances from the film but mostly focus on the band's performance. I think Alex at Black Wolf Imagining nailed that directly on the head. I'm honestly so proud of this body of work and I hope all my fans love it! says Michael Vampire

This song signals a new chapter for the band and is the best showcase for where the band is musically and stylistically. This cover really felt like a blend between the direction modern metal and hard rock are going and the throwback sound of VE the fans have loved since 2010. This song has lightning fast double bass, hard hitting and cutting guitars, and incredible and memorable vocal performances that shows why Michael Vampires should be talked about as one of the scene's powerhouse frontmen. From a listener's perspective, this cover needed to stand out and make a statement, and that it did and more. The video is riddled with references to The Lost Boys without being distasteful, the artistic vision of the band and Director Alex Kouvatsos of Blackwolf Imaging hit the nail on the head with setting the vibe and leading the story as well as making it look incredibly badass.

It was obvious the time was coming for the band to take the leap and the time was definitely now. VE did the song justice and this will be something that’s imprinted in the band’s new legacy they are creating. One thing is for sure, if the remake of the movie does happen and this isn’t the song used for the theme, I will call for a boycott, your move Warner Brothers.
