There have been a lot of new and upcoming bands to keep an eye on over the last year, so we decided to would do three separate articles covering bands that we think you should be keep an eye on within the next year!

We will be first starting out with Pop Punk bands, and if you know any of these bands or not even at all, make sure to show them love with checking out their music.

RIVAL TOWN

Starting from the great north, melodic pop punk band from Ontario, Rival Town with their latest release of Coming Up Short. Starting back in 2017, this band has been making waves over the last few years with their high energy songs infusing a mixture of both post-hardcore melodies and pop punk hooks in their songs. if you’re fans of A Day To Remember, Neck Deep, or Real Friends then you’re going love these guys. Make sure to keep an eye on their new releases, definitely worth the listen!

END IN SIGHT

“It’s not a phase, it’s a lifestyle!” Is what I think when I listen to this emo and pop punk fusion of a song from the new and upcoming band, End In Sight. All the way from Manchester, England, these guys are proving that emo is not dead especially with their latest song, “Spider” as well with their other singles “Blossom” and “Lifeline.” If you’re fans of music from Johnnie Guilbert, SayWeCanFly, and As It Is, you’re going to love the hell out of this band right here!

GLIMMERS

Hailing from the southern in Atlanta, Georgia is the alternative rock / pop punk band, Glimmers. This band landed on our radar earlier this year when stumbling on their heavy hitter of a song, “Not Good At Goodbyes” on TikTok. This is one of those songs that just makes you want to cry over how beautiful the song is. I’m not going to be that person who compares them to Paramore, they remind me a bit more of Stand Atlantic of even Tonight Alive. They’re also going to be on our upcoming tribute album of My Chemical Romance’s album, The Black Parade with their cover of “This Is How I Disappear.” Make sure to keep out for that!

EUGENE LEVY

No, we don’t mean the actor, we mean the band, “Eugene Levy.” Also new onto the music scene as they formed back in 2019. They’ve put out a lot of bangers especially with their song, “On The Rocks” which included Nick Thompson from Hit The Lights doing guest vocals on the song. This is one of those songs that will get stuck on your head and will have it on repeat for the next few weeks or months after listening to it once.

AUTUMN FIRES

Wanting some more Pop Punk from the UK? Well look no further then with the new and upcoming female fronted band, Autumn Fires from London! They’ve got a good mix of influences ranging from Tonight Alive, You Me At Six, and a hint of Neck Deep to define their sound! Their newest song, “Seventeen” is one of their newer release that we highly recommend checking out.

CULT REVIVAL

If you haven’t noticed yet, the UK scene for Pop Punk over the last year or two has been really popping off. From England, Cult Revival is here to join the fray to show “YOU” they are here to stay. Freshly founded in 2021, they’ve been on a role with their last two singles, “YOU” and “ME.” They make sure to fuse the best of both worlds when it comes to Pop Punk and Post-Hardcore in their music!

MISPLACED

What do you get when you do a combination of midwest emo, pop punk, and a pinch of trap? You obviously get the band, Misplaced! Recently signed to the LA based label, We Are Triumphant which has been helping push this band to the limelight. This bands latest EP, “fell in love with a lie” is full of bangers from “ffs” and “fate & fairtales” which includes the likes of Braden of SayWeCanFly on the track. They also just recently released a new single, “wish you would just give it back” which you can listen to here!

BROOKLANE

Hitting you with another midwest pop punk, Brooklane! Hailing from Fargo, North Dakota, they are a new coming into the music scene with recently forming back in 2020. Another amazing band from the LA based label, We Are Triumphant as well. They just released their album, “Rolling With The Punches” in early 2021 which include hits like “Anxiety" and “Crazy.” Make sure to keep an eye out on them as they’re releasing a deluxe edition with an reimagined version of their song, Anxiety.

MAGNOLIA PARK

If you’ve been on TikTok and on the Pop Punk side of it, there’s a good chance you’ve seen this band on there. Magnolia Park is a band that has been blowing up over the last few years with their sound deriving from the early emo days with that high energy pop punk and a dash of hip hop into their music. If you’re just now hearing them, we recommend checking out their songs, Sick Of It All and Love Me which features Kellin Quinn on the song!

DEAD BUNDY

When I think of this band, I honestly think of that line in The Bee Movies where he says, “Do you like Jazz?” This is them but saying instead Pop Punk instead of Jazz. Dead Bundy is a Cleveland based band who make all their songs from serious to just being funny as hell. Examples of songs including “She F**ks Me” of their funny side and “Better Alive” with their serious side. They’re about to release their debut album, “Not Sorry” which actually comes out this upcoming Friday on the 20th!
