“She Fucks Me”

Cleveland-based rock band Dead Bundy recently released their new single “She Fucks Me”, an upbeat tune with a hilarious video that’s sure to become an anthem for summer. The group calls back to a time when music could be irreverent, off the wall, and fun. The video starts with the boys stumbling out of a shed that’s been properly hotboxed and set forth on a noble quest: to get hammered and give no fucks. A trio composed of frontman Ricky Alkire, guitarist Brian Clark, and drummer Jordon Marich, Dead Bundy brings back the 90’s pop-punk sound that we all grew up loving with a modern, emo rap inspired twist.
The song starts with a light, easy-going melody, a groovy shuffle beat from Marich, and Alkrie crooning about his girl pulling him into the bathroom and taking out his “taquito”. The group engages in all sorts of debauchery as they deliver the bouncy chorus - green beer, inflatable sex dolls, and a kiddie pool. They build great tension in the bridge as nearly everyone in the video commits unspeakable acts on the inflatables before bringing it home with one more party-laden chorus. The song closes out with the familiar intro riff and the band bathing themselves in beer with their inflatable partners.
Dead Bundy certainly brings a sound that makes you want to crack open a cold one and enjoy what’s left of summer with your mates - they’ve captured the nostalgic sound that brought many of us to alternative music while still giving it their own, modern twist. They wear their “Parental Advisory” sticker like a badge of honor and carefully dance around the border of political correctness. In their own words - “Hide your beer, hide your mom. Dead Bundy is cumming."
