SONG REVIEW: Scooped Up! - "Best Day"
Scooped Up! brings out the best in DIY Pop Punk with “Best Day”

It’s finally time! It’s time to start spiking your hair up again and dusting off those old dickies because pop punk is making a comeback! I don’t mean just pop punk. I'm talking early 2000s pop punk is making a comeback and the band scooped up is doing a great job making sure that happens. Scooped up recently released a single entitled “Better Days” which honestly made my day better. Hearing this song really did bring me back to better days and gave me that pop punk I missed so dearly.
The song starts off how every good pop punk song should and that’s with a great bass line and heavy hitting drums. I knew from the very first second this song was easily gonna become an everyday play for me. After that great intro the guitar comes in for a second to really drive that riff and you're met with the verse. As soon as I heard the verse I was instantly sold the way the instruments played and the vocals gave me that old school high voiced pop punk tone that just really took me back to “Better Days”. You’re then met with the chorus which instantly will get stuck in your head. This song can easily become an anthem and be sung loud and proud. Better days is sadly only 2:20 long I just wanted it to keep going but hey that’s probably a good thing because it made me go check out all their other great songs.
Scooped up is a 3 piece pop punk band hailing from Milford CT. The band prides themselves on being a full diy music. They do their own art, graphic design, photography, videography, merch, and they write their own great tunes! The band has been around since 2016, blessing us with 2 EPs, and an album released so far. Scooped up has a bunch of music videos that I highly recommend checking out!
To summarize scooped up is a great pop punk band bringing back that early 2000s pop punk sound that we all can honestly say we’ve missed. Their song better days really gave me what I’ve been missing and I highly recommend to everyone to put this song on your daily playlist!
